Webb13 okt. 2009 · #3 · Oct 12, 2009 the probably plugged the bypass valve in the oil filter adapter. next time you change the oil & have the filter off, just look & see if it has a screwed in plug installed where the bypass valve goes. if it does i personaly would leave it alone & use it like it is. i like the fact of having all the oil going through the oil filter. Webb24 dec. 2008 · Cold oil and high oil pressure could spell trouble with the combination of that filter and your blocked bypass. Not true. 51061 does NOT have a bypass valve...see HERE. You will be fine, just let it warm up before taking off. Use some common sense. You can see it being done with the 51061 by Carl/CNC Blocks, very reputable machine shop.
